Serie A Gameweek 7 – Who Rules Turin and Will Napoli Continue Its Perfect Streak?

Serie A hasn’t been this exciting and close in the last 15 years. Several teams are in the mix for winning the Scudetto, and believe us when we say that this national championship will be the most interesting of all the major ones in Europe.

This weekend, we have two derbies, one in Turin, between the two local rivals, Torino and Juventus, and the other in Bergamo, where Atalanta meets AC Milan. Also, Fiorentina hosts Napoli.

Torino vs. Juventus

As the Italians call this one, Derby Della Mole is one of the most intense in Europe. Two city rivals, teams with a rich background and colorful history, will meet for the 246th time, including all the unofficial games.

The Bulls are without a loss for four games, winning two and posting two draws in the latest two contests. At the moment, they and the Old Lady are next to one another in the standings, with eight points each, but Torino holds the advantage because of a better goal difference.

Juve posted three victories and one draw in the most recent four matches. This comes as a refreshment following a pale start, but Juve still isn’t at the expected level, having numerous problems in all the areas of the game.

Both Torino and Juventus usually score and concede in their respective games, and we do not doubt that the same will happen in this one. That was the case in four of the last five direct encounters.

Atalanta vs. AC Milan

This is a local derby as well because Bergamo and Milano are some 30 miles apart. La Dea had a spectacular matchup against Inter this weekend, earning one point, even though the result could go either way. Atalanta had several big chances, but unfortunately for their fans, they all went to waste.

Meanwhile, Milan is still unbeaten in Serie A, and Stefano Pioli’s boys are determined to keep it like that. We saw them overcome a tough test in Spezia, posting a 1-2 win, even though the hosts leveled the score in the finish. Rosonerri’s fighting mentality prevailed, and they scored the game-winner a few minutes before the final whistle.

We expect to see goals on both sides in this match too. Atalanta likes to attack, and they are one of the most efficient teams in Europe in recent years. AC Milan also has a very potent offense with high productivity. That is why BTTS sounds like the most reasonable pick here.

Fiorentina vs. Napoli

Viola quickly bounced back following the loss against Inter, beating Udinese on the road this Sunday, 0-1. The only scorer was Dusan Vlahovic, a kid who created a lot of buzz throughout the summer and is a target of several continental powerhouses. Fiorentina is currently fifth in the standings, but their goal this year is to finish among the top four and earn the spot in the UEFA Champions League.

On the other side, Napoli is perfect with all six wins in the same number of games and a convincing goal difference of 16-2. Still, that is only two points more than AC Milan, which is why Luciano Spalletti’s boys can’t relax. They had three wins in the last three Serie A matches with a combined goal difference of 10-0. It is the best possible proof of their fantastic form.

When talking about the outcome of this game, Napoli is a solid favorite, and they should be after seeing the difference between Fiorentina and Inter. We believe that despite having a solid roster, the hosts aren’t ready to challenge the best Italian teams, which Napoli definitely is.
