UEFA Champions League Group Stage Prediction

The UEFA Champions League started, and we already had a chance to see all the teams and their potential. That is why FootySamba decided to come out with early predictions on who advances to the knockout stage.

Group A- no surprises, it can't go any other way, can it?

Even though PSG has some struggles in the team and the relationship in the locker room is not at a high level, the Saints will finish among the top two places. Of course, the other club from this assembly to advance is Manchester City. Club Brugge and RB Leipzig will fight for third place.

Pick: Manchester City and PSG

Group B- very unpredictable group but Liverpool FC will finish first

From what we saw here, Liverpool should be safe because the Reds have a much higher quality than all the other rivals. Our favorite for the second knockout stage ticket is Atletico Madrid because the Spanish champions always know how to play competitive and demanding matches. Porto has an interesting unit, the same as AC Milan, but in the long run, they can’t measure with Simeone’s crew.

Pick: Liverpoo and Atletico Madrid

Group C- the question is- how many goal will Haaland score

The first round pretty much cleared all the doubts, with Borussia Dortmund and Ajax beating their rivals on the road and without any trouble. The Millionaires were routine in Istanbul, and Ajax humiliated Sporting at Jose Alvalade stadium in Lisbon. These two sides will most definitely win the top two places, as they showed a much higher class than the other two opponents.

Pick: Ajax and Borussia Dortmung

Group D- Real Madrid is the power house

Real created an edge over Inter by beating Nerrazzuri on the road, and it appears that the Los Blancos already opened the door of the next stage. Meanwhile, Inter is still our pick for taking the second place despite losing the premiere because Shakhtar surprised everyone losing to Sheriff in its first game. The Italians won’t make the same mistake in Moldova, and that will be a difference-maker.

Pick: Real Madrid and Inter Milan

Group E- Bayern will be unstoppable

Barcelona is in a mess, and they are sitting last following the first round and a loss to Bayern Munich at home. But even so, we can’t go against Blaugrana here. They have enough quality for beating Benfica ad Dynamo Kyiv, and it would be a big surprise not to see them in the knockout stage. As for Bayern, we predict them not to lose a single point in the remaining five Group E games. This team is looking monstrous at the moment.

Pick: Bayern Munich and Barcelona

Group F- with Ronaldo, there is only one outcome

Manchester United’s loss in Switzerland made the situation in this assembly pretty interesting. For now, Young Boys top the standings, but even so, we can’t imagine seeing the Red Devils out of the competition after these six matches. Especially now when they have Ronaldo. Atalanta should take the second spot because La Dea improves the form as the season goes on. They had many players in the recent EURO and Copa America who were tired but are now slowly catching the rhythm.

Pick: Manchester United and Atalanta

Group G- House of the underdogs

All four teams have one point following their first matches. Yet, in this constellation, Sevilla looks like a team that should advance to the next round. The Spaniards are very experienced in international competitions, which can’t be said for the other three units. Regarding the second team that might progress, our money is on Wolfsburg, one very nasty team this season, with a deep and balanced roster filled with experienced players.

Pick: Sevilla and Wolfsburg

Group H- Juventus and Chelsea, say no more

The opening round showed everything, and we won’t bother you too much here. Juventus and Chelsea are much better than Zenit and Malmo, and the two powerhouses will probably convincingly advance to the Round of 16. Juventus’ form might be terrible at the moment, but despite all that, the Old Lady is still much better than the Russian and Swedish champions.

Pick: Juve and Chelsea
